Table for two.

        Only one diner.
For those of you unfamiliar with the form, this is a six word story, a type of flash fiction. (Visit #SixWordStories if you're curious!)

Feel free to share this, but please credit me. Also, I would appreciate if you would send me a link if you share this on a blog or a website like tumblr.

If you download of copy this, please :+fav: it as well!

The very first impression on readers is the visual arrangement: a great balance created by brilliant indentation. This is supported by the placement of words, which makes the words' 'content' meaningfully implicitly symmetrical: table-diner; two-only.
The last (but definitely not least) delicious flavor is the story, or a number of stories, told behind it. The idea is not really new, but this condense style of story combined with the above-emtioned great visual effect all bring to it a dynamic beauty, and new shades of meaning.
The name, unfortunately, cannot keep up with the work itself. The word 'night' is redundant; its appearance narrows down the directions that the work may lead its readers.
This is, however, still a beautiful dine of words. For sad ones. For happy ones.
